These are the script files I made for my arch servers, they allow openvpn to startup just like any other daemon ( via the daemons array )

Attached are 2 files:

openvpn.sh - The actual initiation script based off the archwiki openvpn bridge docs, fixed and made to work correctly with bridge-utils
openvpn.sh = /etc/rc.d/openvpn

openvpn.conf - The configuration file read by openvpn.sh
openvpn.conf = /etc/conf.d/openvpn

Note: it is very important to add the "easy-rsa" folder included with the "openvpn" source, it's currently being discarded.

Working sample: AUR package "openvpnd"

How will this work with people who start X via inittab, AFTER the daemons array is called?

Guillermo - if you're still around, I'd appreciate your comments on Glenn's init proposal in  FS#11146 . I'll be finalising this soon.
