Details
When you install Arch using the FTP installation you have to
configure ethX. But when you edit the /etc/rc.conf file or
/etc/resolv.conf you must reconfigure it, because it doesn't
keep the installation parameters.
It will be nice if the installer update automatically those files according to the installation parameters. |
This task depends upon
At least now you are aware of where and how to configure your network, if we let this be configured automagically you have no idea on what's going on.
It would be more natural to not let the installer handle networking configuration. Better let the user configure the system with the config files (inside the installer) and let the installer try "network restart" for him.
