the vesa driver with Xorg 7.1.1 causes windows to be redrawn in "slow motion" when moving them on the desktop, or scrolling within applications, web browsers, etc. one other person so far has reported the same problem. my video card is matrox G450, not sure of the other person's.

I can confirm this too on my notebook with a Nvdia Geforce 6800Go.

I am experiencing this problem as well. I have a VIA Technologies Inc. KM400 Graphics Adapter using the generic VESA driver.

i can confirm this too. Happens on my intel graphics laptop when usin vesa. If there's anythin you want me to try JGC to help fix it, just buzz me on Jabber
