Description:
There is no sound coming from connected headphones. Pavucontrol shows moving bars and that headphones are connected like nothing is wrong. When I disconnect headphones, speakers are playing fine. I can reproduce this bug also with speaker-test tool without pulseaudio running. I also realize that this is probably upstream bug because I can reproduce it with latest Fedora 22 live (kernel 4.0.4) and Ubuntu 15.04 live (kernel 3.19). Fedora has something similar (but not the same) reported: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1204879 For now I'm using latest linux-lts-3.14.43-2 on arch which is working OK. Additional info: happens with linux-3.19+ (till current linux-4.0.4-2) Soundcard: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 05) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 1471 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 48 Memory at d4520000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel Kernel modules: snd_hda_intel Notebook type: HP ProBook 6550b Steps to reproduce: |

Should I report this somewhere else? If there is some required info missing, I'll be glad to provide it.

I can now confirm that since linux kernel 4.4.1 sound is working fine again.
