Description:
There is no sound coming from connected headphones. Pavucontrol shows moving bars and that headphones are connected like nothing is wrong. When I disconnect headphones, speakers are playing fine.

I can reproduce this bug also with speaker-test tool without pulseaudio running.

I also realize that this is probably upstream bug because I can reproduce it with latest Fedora 22 live (kernel 4.0.4) and Ubuntu 15.04 live (kernel 3.19). Fedora has something similar (but not the same) reported: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1204879

For now I'm using latest linux-lts-3.14.43-2 on arch which is working OK.

Additional info:
happens with linux-3.19+ (till current linux-4.0.4-2)

Soundcard:

I've tried again with latest kernel 4.2.2-1. Still not working. Since there is linux-lts version bump to 4.1.8+ there is no way getting headphones sound on archlinux with supported repositories. Now I need to stick with downgraded linux-lts 3.14.52-1 for which is the sound still working.

Should I report this somewhere else? If there is some required info missing, I'll be glad to provide it.

It looks like it is going to be fixed upstream:

Thanks for the links.
I can now confirm that since linux kernel 4.4.1 sound is working fine again.
