Description:
By default the /etc/geoclue/geoclue.conf file does not include a section allowing gnome-maps, so it will silently not be able to fetch your location. Additional info: * package version(s) extra/gnome-maps 3.14.2-1 extra/geoclue2 2.1.10-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open gnome-maps. 2. See stale/no location. How to fix: Add the following lines to the end of /etc/geoclue/geoclue.conf: [gnome-maps] allowed=true system=false users= I assume this is not an upstream bug because it's a configuration file issue. |
