Description:
I was wondering why my geolocation in gnome-maps was always locating me at the center of Berlin, even though I'm living not even close to the center. A look at https://location.services.mozilla.com/map did seem to have some data available at my location and I made sure of this by collecting new data. I came across /etc/geoclue/geoclue.conf; had a quick glance at the syntax and added [gnome-maps] allowed=true users= to it. After a reboot ( I guess systemctl restart geoclue.service would be could enough, too) I'm getting a pretty good localization. Can this be done automatically by the install script, given that geoclue is installed? |

Having a package modify a file from another package is bad. This
would need to be done in the geoclue2 package, so I'm re-titleing
the report. Since that file comes from upstream, though, you
should really be talking to them.
