Details
dbus now writes its pid to /var/run/dbus/pid. If the system
shuts down unexpectedly e.g. power failure, on reboot, the
"Removing Leftover Files" section in rc.sysinit, does not
remove this pid. The closest it comes is
/bin/rm -f /var/run/*.pid &>/dev/null This causes dbus to fail. The pid must be removed manually, and dbus started again. |

Additional comments about closing: Latest version of dbus removes the pidfile on startup if the pid belonging to it isn't running.
