Description:
After typing password to unlock session, session is unlocked but grey background does not hide.
Then one must switch to another tty and send SIGHUP to gnome-shell (to restart it).

Additional info:
* package version(s)
gnome-shell 3.6.1-2
* log
~/.cache/gdm/session.log has something about JS error, "incorrect pop" and screenShield.js (attached)

Steps to reproduce:
Lock screen (Either by switching user, Suspend or Automatic lock when idle)
Move the new thing up (pressing enter or slide with mouse) to reveal password prompt
Type password then enter
Sometimes, the grey background does not get away even though the session is unlock. Clicking or Typing on keyboard DOES send events to applications, but you don't see them.

I was not able to reproduce this bug each time, it happens randomly.

I confirm this behavior with exactly the same error message.

Yes, I have the same problem. It's very annoying.

The problem is not limited to the screen lock. It happens to me from time to time. Sometimes is due to the screen lock, others to the IM messages in the message tray, others just because (I suppose) something popped a window in modal mode but such window never appeared because, for example, the focus is hold by other window.

Patch:

I tested it against 3.6.2 and it fixed the problem. PKGBUILD patch attached.

This still seems to happen to me with gnome-shell 3.6.3.1-1.

Actually, the problem is still a little bit unclear to me. On gnome-shell 3.6.3.1-1, the problem was happening when coming back from the lock screen and there was no way to restart gnome-shell to fix it (I had to kill Xorg and then login again). I applied the patch provided by OttoA against the gnome-shell 3.6.3-2 and the lock screen problem is gone, but my screen still hangs sometimes when the activities screen is shown, but this one can be fixed by restarting gnome-shell (<alt+f2>, r, <enter>). I might try to apply this patch against 3.6.3.1-1 later.
