Description:
The file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf seems the place to make configuration changes but it is not in the backup array |
This task depends upon
The only reason it exists for is to add the "missing" builtin section in the X server to allow autodetection (which you can't edit either).
Option "NoLogo" "True"
in the Device section which is provided by that file to stop the nvidia logo on boot. As far as I know, I can not add extra fields to that section in another file.
Option "NoLogo" "True" # a sensible default for 20-nvidia.conf
Since the nvidia driver can be heavily tweaked, it would make sense to backup 20-nvidia.conf
In any case many of the options can be specified either in a "Screen" or "Device" section

Or should - for example dual monitor configurations - be placed in another file?
Also, I thought Pierre added the backup= to the new nvidia in testing.
