Details
Description:
Ever since using arch (~ 1 year or more) the installation of extra/festival-awb-arctic has required me to manually insert this line: (define voice_us_awb_multisyn_configure_pre nil) Into the file: /usr/share/festival/voices-multisyn/english/cstr_us_awb_arctic_multisyn/festvox/cstr_us_awb_arctic_multisyn.scm For it to even function. Without this line, an error is thrown on the command line and ktts fails to utilise the voice selected. Additional info: * package version(s) pacman -Qs festival|grep local local/festival 1.96beta-1 local/festival-awb-arctic 1.0-1 local/festival-don 1.95-1 local/flite 1.3-2 * config and/or log files etc. SIOD ERROR: unbound variable : voice_us_awb_multisyn_configure_pre Steps to reproduce: Pacman -Sy festival Pacman -Sy festival-awb-arctic festival festival> (voice_cstr_us_awb_arctic_multisyn) SIOD ERROR: unbound variable : voice_us_awb_multisyn_configure_pre |

I used this: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/festival-jmk-arctic/festival-jmk-arctic/PKGBUILD ...similarly inserting (define voice_us_awb_multisyn_configure_pre nil) into/usr/share/festival/voices-multisyn/english/cstr_us_awb_arctic_multisyn/festvox/cstr_us_awb_arctic_multisyn.scm works
All festival packages are currently orphaned.
kde-accessibility depends on festival.
Either we find a maintainer for festival or we find a way to build kde-accessibility without it and remove it from Extra.
