Version 1.4 of xorg-server displays a black vertical bar
(about 16 pixels wide) roughly in the middle of my screen at
all times. When I login to GNOME, a second vertical bar
composed of many short horizontal bars, evenly spaced,
appears about 200 pixels from the left edge of the screen.
Both bars span the full height of the screen. Mouse
behaviour is also bizarre: the GNOME menu will only stay
open if the mouse button is held (normally it will stay open
with a simple click). I have a ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
video card. I tried generating a new xorg.conf but this did
not help. The following downgrades fixed my problem:
xorg-server (1.4-4 -> 1.2.0-5) xf86-input-keyboard (1.2.2-2 -> 1.1.1-1) xf86-input-mouse (1.2.3-1 -> 1.2.1-1) xf86-video-ati (6.7.195-1 -> 6.6.3-3) |
