When Package Size == Download Size, which will be most instances, it'd be nice to not show both. Perhaps just show Total Package Size.

What about only showing Total Download Size?
Before starting a download, I find that's the most interesting information.
And as you said, most of the time, they will just be equal anyway.

You bring up a good point - is Total Package Size useless?

Another point- with deltas involved, these numbers can vary a lot.

If we would fix our repo scripts to actually fill in the "installed size" field, then Total Package Size might go the way of the dodo.

So, ok - in essence, you're saying that "Total Package Size" can be removed if and only if our repo scripts "work" they way they should?

We have three sizes that can currently be shown on a sync operation:
Total Package Size:
Total Installed Size:
Total Download Size:

As you said and I agree with, if you have the other two sizes, "Total Package Size" really has no value and its just clutter. People care about how big the download is (how long it will take), and how much is going to be installed on their system.

Compromise: kill the Total Package Size, and I will fix the DB scripts before the 3.1 release? 8)

+1 for removing Total Package Size

+1 for me too, so long as it removes the typical duplication :)

Aaron- I killed the Total Package Size in the latest push to the GIT tree. Now its your turn to follow through.
