Description:
I have a KOI8-U-based (8-bit) locale, and a HAL rule, which sets iocharset=koi8-u for vfat. But when I try to mount a flash drive in KDE, it gets mounted with UTF-8, which causes all cyrillic names to be unreadable. So I've found a patch, which merges HAL settings with KDE settings ans also disables mounting with UTF-8, if iocharset is specified in HAL rules. And I think that it will be very nice if you apply this patch to the kdebase package. ;) Additional info: * package version(s): kdebase-3.5.8-1 Steps to reproduce: Remove flash drive entry from fstab and mount a flash using KDE.
