Description: please change naming convention in perl distribution from using site_perl to vendor_perl. This way, modules installed via Pacman do not overwrite modules installed via CPAN and visa-versa.

Example: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl should become /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl. All modules installed via Pacman should go into /ursr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl.

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  The policy was implemented in perl 5.10.0-x packages in testing.

I think the implementation of http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Perl_Policy is needed.

wow, kind of disheartening to know that the topic is described in such detail on the distribution's official Wiki, yet isn't being enforced.

looks like the Vendor-related sections of the Perl_Policy page have been in place since 23 May 2007.

The wiki policy was also not written by a developer. Anyone can just make up a "policy".

If you want this done faster, you're welcome to submit a patch here to fix all of our perl modules in the repos.
