Description:
The "Manage languages" feature (from the language selection dropdown) does not work. Instead it produces the following error: > A session connection to the PackageKit backend is required for managing system-wide tesseract language packs, but it was not found. This service is usually provided by a software-management application such as Gnome Software. Please install software which provides the necessary PackageKit interface, use other system package management software to manage the tesseract language packs directly, or switch to using the user tessdata path in the configuration dialog I tried to install `packagekit-qt5`, `packagekit-qt6` and `gnome-packagekit` respectively, but this seems to have no effect. Additional info: * package version(s): 3.4.1-2 * config and/or log files etc: default settings * link to upstream bug report: N/A Steps to reproduce: Install `gimagereader-qt` or `gimagereader-gtk`. Click "Manage languages" from the language selection dropdown. Observe the error. |

FS#76824and [1] for example. When running dbus-monitor, the request can be seen hitting the bus, but I don't follow what happens after that. Here's a similar upstream ticket [2].Also, the tesseract language packs are already provided by pacman.. so trying to "Manage languages" doesn't make much sense anyway.
If there is no response from the PM's this ticket will be closed as "Won't Fix"

Just use `pacman` to install the language packs you want to use and they should just start showing up when you re-run the app. I use several.
