With the latest gnome-terminal (3.48.1-1) and at-spi2-core (2.48.1-1), gnome-terminal takes like a minute to start, and prints the message:
# AT-SPI: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

When I downgrade at-spi2-core to (2.48.0-2) then gnome-terminal starts instantly. Alternatively if I keep the latest at-spi2-core and export NO_AT_BRIDGE=1 then gnome-terminal also starts instantly
