Description:
After updating the kernel from 6.1.12 to 6.2.1, the kernel apparently has wrong information on the size of touchpad on my laptop (DELL Latitude E7450).
The consequence is, that the touchpad sends very slow movement in the x-direction. (The factor with which the size changed is suspiciously close to the factor between inch and cm.)
At first, I thought, this was a problem with libinput, but after a little digging, and downgrading the kernel, I concluded that this must be a change in the kernel.
I tried to find any patches in the kernel that might have caused this, but I don't know where to look.

Additional info:

Steps to reproduce:
I could not test it on any other hardware.

General advice for kernel regressions [1]. You might need to report it to the kernel folks upstream. Please let us know what you find out.
