Description:

In atuin's README page, it's stated that `bash-preexec` is needed for using atuin with Bash: https://github.com/ellie/atuin#bash

So it makes sense for it to be listed as atuin's optional dependency.

However it seems like `bash-preexec` is only available in AUR at the moment. I'm not sure whether it's okay for packages in the main repo to depend on AUR packages (even optionally). If not, please consider packaging `bash-preexec` in the main repo, thanks.

No, it's not possible. It would have to be brought into the main repos which is a decision for the PM.
