Netowrk Manager Applet, stops after trying to connect to any SSID !

I think this should be fixed now with libnma 1.10.4-2 and network-manager-applet 1.30.0-1.

I have the same issue in Gnome while trying to connect to VPN. Just updated libnma and libnma-gtk4 to latest and it didn't fix anything, and I don't even have network-manager-applet itself installed. So it might be problem with something else.
Wasn't sure if it counts as the same bug or two different, so I reported it anyways: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/76490

There is more detail in  FS#76490  and it appears to be the same bug.
