Description:
Mounting a fat16 partition on a USB stick causes 100% CPU usage and doesn't complete. I've traced this to the e2fsprogs update to version 1.40-1, reverting to 1.39-2 cures it. Well, it's a new day and I wanted to investigate further so I
tried again, and today it worked with no problems (no other
changes to system). So maybe it's one of those that depends on the
weather or the date. If nobody else reports something similar, I
guess you can close it - but it wasn't a one off, I tried it
repeatedly with different devices, reboots, etc.
