Description:
Package `starship` from the [community] repo has a hard dependency on `ttf-font-nerd`, and the only package that provides `ttf-font-nerd` is `ttf-iosevka-nerd`. I don't think this dependency makes much sense, since `starship` is a shell prompt manager, it has nothing to do with font rendering. For my daily use I have to install a ~100MB `ttf-iosevka-nerd` font on a headless machine just to use `starship`, it's quite a waste of disk space in my opinion. I would suggest removing `ttf-font-nerd` from `starship`'s hard dependencies, making it an optional dependency would make more sense. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: `sudo pacman -S starship` |
