The above patch fixes this issue. I am using this [url]https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-xanmod-rog/[/url] kernel, with the above patch included.

Wifi broke on the mt7921e chipset after 5.16.3 update and remained broken on 5.16.4.

I had the same issue with linux 5.16.3 and 5.16.4. Switching to linux-lts fixed it for me. https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215391 may be related.

WiFi works with both Arch and zen kernel on the above chipset. This bug doesn't affect latest kernels [>=v5.16.5] anymore.
