Description:
Hello i am happy that kicad6 is out with all the new features.
One of them is suport for compressed 3d models.
I think following package can hugely benefit from it:

Name : kicad-library-3d
Version : 6.0.0-2
Description : Kicad 3D render model libraries
Download Size : 341.57 MiB
Installed Size : 5295.85 MiB

You see that difference between download and installed size is HUGE.
Can you please compress all the models?
Basicaly just run bash loop which pushes all individual files through gzip and changing file extensions accordingly to .stpz and .wrz (or .step.gz and .wrl.gz).
