After upgrading Rhythmbox to version 0.10.90-1, there started a scratch on every music that I play. Mostly on the bass tones.. I've checked the volume status but it's as everytime it was. I can play without any problems with mplayer by the way.. I don't know if the problem relies on the codec packages of gstreamer, but this one is a really ignoring problem.

Is this still an issue with rhythmbox 0.10.1? (btw: lowering volume inside rhythmbox removed the scratches for me)

I didn't try any new rhythmbox version yet, but I have one idea about scretches:
sound distortion happens with high PCM volume (AFAIR >74%) which is equal to a more than 0.0dB amplyphying. So maybe than new Rhythmbox version uses hardware PCM level control, instead of software, by default?

There's no such problem like this in 0.10.0.1.. (the PCM volume is always set about 74% on my system) Upgrading to the new version starts the problem.
