Details

The gstreamer0.10-bad package contains /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstladspa.so a file that is also in the gstreamer0.10-ladspa package so when i try to install gstreamer-plugins it errors out.

[root@amnesia spencer]# pacman -Qo /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstladspa.so
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstladspa.so is owned by gstreamer0.10-bad 0.10.4-1

Additional comments about closing:  ladspa is maintained in gst-plugins-bad now, building ladspa from those sources, removed from gstreamer0.10-bad.

Strange I just rebuilt gstreamer0.10-bad from abs and it doesn't build libgstladspa.so.

Having similar problem when installing gstreamer0.10-bad:

error: could not prepare transaction
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
gstreamer0.10-bad: /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstqtdemux.so exists in filesystem
gstreamer0.10-bad: /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstvideocrop.so exists in filesystem

Adding to my comment above:

[root@rnslappy rohan]# pacman -Qo /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstqtdemux.so
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstqtdemux.so is owned by gstreamer0.10-good 0.10.6-1
[root@rnslappy rohan]# pacman -Qo /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstvideocrop.so
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstvideocrop.so is owned by gstreamer0.10-good 0.10.6-1

The qtdemux plugin moved from bad to good, I still have to update the bad plugins.
