Details
Description:
Something is _quite_ wrong with the newest Sway (1:1.6). Upon upgrading and restarting `sway`, I can no longer reliably type anything in Emacs. In my terminal as well keys are often grabbed and pasted over and over without any action from me. I can also not use the Numpad on my keyboard to type anything in the terminal. Downgrading back down to sway-1:1.5.1-2 and wlroots-0.12.0-1 "fixes" the issues. Additional info: * wlroots: 0.13 * terminal is alacritty-0.7.2-1 Steps to reproduce: - Update `sway`. - Exit it completely and restart. - Open Emacs and attempt anything. - Open multiple terminals and try to type. |

Reason for closing: Upstream
Additional comments about closing: Most likely an upstream bug; There has been some input reworking IIRC and it's likely you were hit with a bug from that.

Hi, Colin. Does sway 1.6.1 in [testing] fix this behavior? It
comes with wlroots 0.4.0.

I think a more recent patch had fixed my immediate issue so I had
been on 1.6 for while. I've just installed 1.6.1 from
[community-testing] as you suggested, but it seems about the same
experience. My numpad still doesn't work in alacritty (although it
works just fine in a vterm within Emacs).

Hm. I think this is something that should be posted upstream; I'm
sure they'd love to hear about this issue with a thorough bug
report. Sorry I can't help you any more!
