Description:

GNOME (*both* Xorg, Wayland) fails after 10-20 seconds and gets stuck in "Activities overview" (Win key).
One can't get back, can't do anything. Currently running apps keep running but switching to console and restarting to other DE is the only solution.

Right now had to switch to Cinnamon because GNOME is *completely broken*. System completely updated as of 25/03/2021.

works on intel xeon with amdgpu driver.
please open terminal and run
'journalctl -f'
and wait for logs

Yep, on my desktop PC with amdgpu it works as well. I'll try to collect/photoshoot that log because NUC is bricked in that moment.
Moreover, tried few kernels (mainline, LTS, ZEN, XanMod...) and issue remains.

the GIO issue has been fixed here
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gjs/-/merge_requests/595
so in the next release this should be fixed

This is not update to gnome40 ( couple packages ) or related to gnome40 - I guess it's gjs again

SOLVED: Yes, downgrading `gjs` completely RESOLVED the issue.
