Description:
mutter6 (https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/mutter6/) is listed as dependency of budgie-desktop, but trying to run budgie with that version of mutter causes the "oh no! somethign wrong happened" screen to pop up. In reality mutter (https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/mutter/) is the true package needed. installing mutter or the gnome group fixes everything. Additional info: * package version: budgie-desktop 10.5.2-1, mutter 3.38.3-1, mutter6 3.36.8-1 Steps to reproduce: 1) install budgie-desktop on a barebones install, with just xorg-server and the appropiate video drivers on it. 2) install/setup a way to launch budgie-desktop (a display manager, xinit, startx, etc). |
