This is essentially the same bug as laid out here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/irssi/+bug/871723 Due to a change in Glib, irssi may hang on input such as sent when hitting Ctrl + space. Applying this patch fixes the issue: https://patch-diff.githubusercontent.com/raw/irssi/irssi/pull/1183.patch Additional info: * package version(s): 1.2.2-3 Steps to reproduce: - Start irssi - Type some input - Hit Ctrl + space - Notice that no further input is processed With the patch: - Start irssi - Type some input - Hit Ctrl + space - Notice that further input is processed |
