Description:
I built and installed Mesa 20.0.1-1 using the PKGBUILD used for the [testing] package. Everything seemed fine until I started up VMWare Player and set it to full screen. After a few seconds/minutes, my screen either freezes, or freezes and corrupts (repeating lines of a corrupt part of the screen). Reverting to Mesa 19 from the normal repository solves this issue. Additional info: * Mesa 20.0.1-1 * XPS 13 9380 (Intel * journalctl output contained this the second time: kernel: [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun * journalctl output contained this the first time: rt 13 08:18:34 arch-xps kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: GPU HANG: ecode 9:1:0x00000000, hang on rcs0 kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: Resetting rcs0 for hang on rcs0 kernel: [drm:gen8_reset_engines [i915]] *ERROR* rcs0 reset request timed out: {request: 00000001, RESET_CTL> kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: Resetting chip for hang on rcs0 kernel: [drm:gen8_reset_engines [i915]] *ERROR* rcs0 reset request timed out: {request: 00000001, RESET_CTL> kernel: [drm:gen8_reset_engines [i915]] *ERROR* rcs0 reset request timed out: {request: 00000001, RESET_CTL> kernel: Asynchronous wait on fence i915:kwin_x11[1382]:6ea3c timed out (hint:intel_atomic_commit_ready+0x0/> kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: Resetting rcs0 for hang on rcs0 Steps to reproduce: 1. Build/install Mesa-20.0.1 using PKGBUILD in [testing] 2. Start VMWare Player and open a VM, set it to full screen. 3. Use the VM for a few seconds/minutes |
