Pasting text into nano in alacritty (in sway) all whitespaces or newlines are lost.
This occured with the recent update of alacritty-0.4.1-2 and ncurses-6.2-1. although downgrading these packages doesn't help (this is super weired to me).
Downgrading nano to 4.7-1 does solve the issue.
I played around with various TERM envs and rebuilding all of these packages, none of that helped.

I'm unsure wether this is a nano, ncurses or alacritty bug but since downgrading nano helped I'm posting here.
Also I'd be happy to report this upstream if I had any idea to which of those projects (didn't find any existing related bug).
This task depends upon

https://nano-editor.org/news.php

"2020 February 7 - GNU nano 4.8 "Jaška"

When something is pasted into nano, auto-indentation is suppressed,
and the paste can be undone as a whole with a single M-U."

So this could indeed be an issue in nano. Please check/file a report there: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=nano
