This rc script is not a daemon, so stop and restart are not needed, but stop() was made to allow correct shutdown with current rc.shutdown.
See http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/5740 for improved rc.shutdown which will eliminate dummy stop() workaround.

There's just cosmetic (copy/paste?) bug - echo "usage: $0 {start|stop|restart}" - restart should be removed.
