Description:
According to the release notes [1] and Debian manpage [2], tune2fs version 1.45.3 should support at least setting (and possibly clearing) the casefold flag of ext4 filesystems. When trying to do so with the binary provided by Arch, I only get an error stating the feature is unsupported. Setting the feature right upon creating the filesystem (mkfs.ext4 -O caseflag) works, however. [1] http://e2fsprogs.sourceforge.net/e2fsprogs-release.html#1.45.3 [2] https://manpages.debian.org/unstable/e2fsprogs/ext4.5.en.html Additional info: * e2fsprogs 1.45.3 * kernel 5.2.1 Steps to reproduce: - create new ext4 filesystem - apply "tune2fs -O casefold" --> "setting casefold feature not supported" |
