Forgive me my bluntness, but I'm not sure if my reopening request gets actually noticed:

What I wrote there:
Would it be possible to actually compile wine-staging with faudio support instead of removing it as a dependency? wine-staging is very popular for gaming (where faudio is important) and the devs argue that faudio is not widespread enough among distributions (not true for Arch) to keep it enabled by default. I think if it's included for the regular Wine package in Arch repo, it should be for -staging as well (from user perspective).

This task depends upon

wine-staging 4.13 removed the xaudio2-patches again and uses FAudio now, as Phoronix mentions (https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Wine-Staging-4.13-Released) and the following commit, part of tag 4.13, shows: https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/commit/b95b9109b824d21d98329c76387c3983d6e27cc2

So I think the faudio-dependency should be readded to the wine-staging package now.
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/62215 could be closed then as well.

Why not simply mirror the plain wine PKGBUILD in this regard?
