Details
Description:
I have enabled amdgpu kernel driver for southern islands GPUs with kernel parameters `radeon.si_support=0 amdgpu.si_support=1`. When amdgpu is used, then the hdmi/displayport audio is a semitone lower. Audio works properly with radeon kernel driver. I uploaded a video in order to demonstrate the problem https://youtu.be/URhOlW5zCp0 Additional info: * linux: 4.20 * GPU: Radeon HD 7750 * inxi info: https://pastebin.com/LeipSnQj Steps to reproduce: 1. enable amdgpu driver in a southern island gpu 2. play the same audio with both an hdmi/displayport cable and an audio jack cable in a device which supports both. I'm guessing that this is an upstream bug, so I would like some help on where I can report this because I really don't know (maybe on freedesktop or maybe at the linux kernel) |
