Details
In the transition from tornado from 4.x to 5.x `futures`
became a requirement for python2 according to the release
notes.

The package still lists python2-futures as an optional dependency, though, and this can cause issues. (In my case first observed with the `salt` package which had me open this issue https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/59555) |
