Very often I see -git packages on AUR which do not list git
as a (make) dependency. As a result, these packages fail to
build in a clean chroot.
From a discussion in #archlinux, I understood that this is a bug in the PKGBUILD. Thus, I suggest to detect this situation in namcap: if a program is required to obtain a package source, then that program's package should be a dependency of the package, otherwise a warning ought to be issued. |
