Description:

Kodi as of 17 (alpha) has removed their boost requirement [1]. While glew was removed even earlier.
Running the package through namcap flags glew and a handful of others.

AFAICT namcap does not check the make nor optional dependencies. Couple of dummy checks [2] suggest that none of the optdeps are needed.

Can someone please double-check the {make, opt,}dependencies lists?
Thanks

I'm certain the optdepends are needed for the added functionality descirbed, I'm now checking if other {make,}depends can be removed

boost can be removed, glew is still a makedepend, There will be a new package somewhere today.

Hmm cannot see glew used anywhere in the code. Humble suggestion - add a note where it/others are used.
Thus for example: as we move back to upstream ffmpeg, libdvd* one can quickly drop the respective bits ;-)

Thanks

I will never switch back to system ffmpeg, eventually kodi will require a too much differing version which will break things again.
