mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libjack.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I get this error, other users have complained about other .so files missing in irc.

I can confirm this. I requested a reopening of the old bug report. I dont know if it is still relevant.

The last bug report was in fact closed, this is related, yet separate bug. My believe the solution will be to compiled mplayer-svn in a chroot to ensure only the required libs are included.

I agree with that solution and propose the alternate of:

add the libs that the current install is requesting to the dependancy list.

as users, we shouldn't demand you to compile in a chroot, however, if you decide to take that approach, it would be much appreciated :)
