makedepends contains a superflous 'bc' IMHO.
I installed the package without 'bc' installed, works fine.

I just built it in a chroot both with and without bc. Build logs were the same, so I doubt it does anything.

Well, moreover if you're using pacman-git for reproducible builds the package checksums are the same...

Grepping returns no results for \bbc\b in the source code either, save false positives in contrib/dconf
