DetailsWhen I run Xorg with the nvidia 1.0.8776-1 driver I'm greeted with a white screen and nothing else. CTRL-ALT-Backspace doesn't work so I'm forced to hard reboot the machine.

Your kernel version doesn't match the module version, try "rmmod nvidia && modprobe nvidia" and then start X again.

The dmesg was taken after I'd reverted to the previous version. I get the white screen with the latest module loaded.

Upgrading to the latest nvidia drivers also killed my xorg. I'm using geforce2 mx400. I reverted to the previous drivers and everything worked great.

Packaging error - my mistake. Please install nvidia-utils 1.0.8776-2.
