community-testing/blender 17:2.79rc2-1 seems broken? I see an error message like:

blender: symbol lookup error: blender: undefined symbol: _ZN9COLLADASW18BaseExtraTechnique26addExtraTechniqua3DmaneParameterERKNSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEES8_RKdS8_

The problem is opencollada 1:1.6.59-1. It also breaks previous versions of blender, so you have to downgrade opencollada to version 20150702-3 as a workaround until this is fixed.

The problem with this is that gcc 7.2 which is in testing turns out to be problematic with CUDA so I'm messing around with trying to make nvcc behave and pick up the older stdlib.
