Details
Description:
android-file-transfer doesn't come with any dependency to support MTP. It won't be able to detect any MTP devices until android-udev (or at least just libmtp is installed.) For some reason, package doesn't have these essential dependencies listed. Additional info: * package version(s) android-file-transfer 3.1-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Install android-file-transfer (without installing android-udev) 2. Plug in an Android device over USB and set it to MTP mode 3. Run android-file-transfer 4. An error dialog about no MTP devices detected will show up |

connect failed: no MTP device found
Extracting /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/69-libmtp.rules from /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libmtp-1.1.16-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz without istalling the entire libmtp package enables aft-mtp-mount to mount the phone again. It appears the udev file is necessary for aft-mtp-mount & android-file-transfer to indentify MTP devices.
