You recently removed the static jemalloc library.

Rust looks for it. The configure --help says:
--jemalloc-root=[<none>] set directory where libjemalloc_pic.a is located

error: could not find native static library `jemalloc_pic`, perhaps an -L flag is missing?

error: Could not compile `alloc_jemalloc`.
Build failed, waiting for other jobs to finish...
error: build failed

Please reinstate the jemalloc static library.
