Details
The current openssl-1.0 package in the staging repositoriy
does break compatibility for existing binaries relying on
/usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 and /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0.
Whilst it may be feasable to recompile open source packages,
there is quite a bunch of proprietary software which cannot
be recompiled that easily but which still relies on the
above files/symlinks.
Adding the following symlinks would fix the problem and restore backwards compatibility (and save users a ton of pointless AUR package recompile runs): /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 -> /usr/lib/openssl-1.0/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0 -> /usr/lib/openssl-1.0/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0 |
