Details

After upgrading to kernel 4.9 my machine hangs during shutdown/reboot.
Monitor poweroff but the PC is on.


Steps to reproduce:

Press the shutdown button or systemctl poweroff/rebbot via konsole

kernel 4.9.1 won't solve the problem.

I think its a regression in drm/radeon, disable kms, make poweroff/reboot work again

This is happening to me with kernel 4.9.6.

Adding radeon.dpm=0 to the kernel command-line fixes it.
