As I am sure that you are aware the BTRFS raid support has had some kind of issue with the RAID 5/6 scrubbing/recovery code. It is believed that this patch corrects the issue.

I will be looking in to compiling a custom kernel so I can apply it to my own systems later today.

BTRFS RAID 5/6 was never marked stable in any way.
Those patches are planned for 4.10 series if they work on stable trees they will be merged in by Greg KH.
