Description:
After upgrading to Linux 4.8, I'm "unable" to boot: the root partition is on a SSD, and the home partition is on a LV (raid 1), located on a VG which uses two PV (HDD). lvm2-pvscan@.service fails to start after 1m30, and there is the following error message: raid: Unable to assemble array: Unknown flag(s) in compatible feature flags So, home cannot be mounted (it doesn't appear in /dev/vg0/). Consider I can't login as regular user to use Arch normally. This bug doesn't affect kernel 4.7 (and older). Additional info: * linux-4.8.2-1 * attached file 'lvdisplay' is output of 'lvdisplay -m' command (using Linux 4.7) * attached file 'lvs' is output of 'lvs' command (using Linux 4.7) Steps to reproduce: Boot using Linux 4.8. Available patch: See LKML: https://lkml.org/lkml/2016/10/11/418 Patch: https://lkml.org/lkml/diff/2016/10/11/418/1 |
