KMail crashes when you press [space] in the message view.
The KMail maintainer said, the reason's a binary
incompatibility in the distribution (libkmailprivate).
My setup currently uses KMail 16.08.1-1. |

a) I hope this doesn't sound like a too dumb question. But how can I create a useful backtrace for KDE programs in Arch without recompiling everything? I haven't found seperated debug-symbols or something like that.
b) Running (default) KMail in gdb reveals nothing more than the already mentioned undefined symbol problem. So it is the same problem as in comment #1. A backtrace is not created ((gdb) bt -> No stack.)
